Warrenheip Station

($80 million)

This project will help deliver a ’59 minute service’ for rail passengers between Ballarat and Melbourne and will improve rail service accessibility for people living to the east of Ballarat.

A commuter station at Warrenheip to service passenger trains on the Ballarat railway line will remove 2,000 vehicles from the Ballarat CBD, and act as a catalyst for growth and development of Warrenheip and areas to its east.

Proposed for the site of the former Warrenheip Station, the $21.8 million cost includes land acquisition, reinstatement of two platforms, passenger amenities, DDA compliant access over the railway line and car parking for 2,000 vehicles.
